Meet The Team

Teresa Schuler, LMSW
If you’re feeling ready to make a change or simply want to understand yourself better, therapy can be a meaningful place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most to you. You don’t have to do it alone—growth happens through support and understanding. I specialize in working with teens, women, and members of the LBTQ+ community who are navigating anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, relationship issues, family conflict, and life transitions. I’m especially passionate about supporting women through perinatal and postpartum experiences, offering a safe space to process emotions and strengthen support systems My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and person-centered. I believe that healing can be a long journey- and my goal is to walk beside you every step of the way. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, build on your strength, and work toward greater clarity, confidence and emotional well-being.

Sidney Thauer, LCSW
The most difficult thing anyone can do is ask for help. As human beings, life does not come without hardship and challenges. I am here to foster a safe, inviting space for you to process these challenges while offering guidance in your navigation. I am experienced in providing a down to earth, strengths-based perspective to assist you on your journey. In this therapeutic relationship, I look forward to helping you increase self-awareness to meet your goals at your own pace and on your own terms. I believe your own values and choices should drive the therapeutic process and look forward to helping you maneuver life in a more informed and healthy way. I take a straightforward and practical approach to therapy, focusing on what works and cutting through the noise to help you achieve meaningful change. Some of my specialties include depression, anxiety, BiPolar Disorder, PTSD, and ADHD. My experience includes working with college aged students trying to find balance, navigating major life changes and transitions, providing education on mental health and substance use challenges, and working within the justice system. I use a mix of CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Self-Esteem, ACT, and Schema Therapy.

Anxiety can feel like a constant undercurrent—quiet one moment and overwhelming the next. It can make it hard to trust decisions, connect with others, or feel at ease in everyday life. Many people find themselves caught in cycles of self-doubt, overthinking, or fear of what might happen next. Therapy offers space to slow down, make sense of those patterns, and begin easing the weight of worry. With understanding and practical tools, it’s possible to rebuild a sense of calm, confidence, and self-compassion. Do you feel anxious all day and you are not sure why? Do you have negative thoughts about yourself that get in the way of work, keeping relationships, and making you second guess all of your decisions? Are you not going out in public or avoiding situations because you’re scared you will have a panic attack? Anxiety can hijack our brain and make us feel alone, scared, and misunderstood. I am a skill based therapist who likes to use casual rapport building, humor, and empathy in my approach to enrich and heal the lives of clients. I use evidence-based modalities of EMDR, DBT, CBT, ACT, and mindfulness tools to work with my clients towards healing and living life with an empowerment that enables you to feel strong, connected, healthy, and at peace. I am available via Telehealth only.

Kathleen Meyer, LMSW
It takes a tremendous amount of courage to reach out to a therapist for help with life’s difficult challenges, and to find hope in the midst of struggle. It is my joy as a therapist, and as a human being, to help individuals find that hope within themselves. I have many years of experience helping individuals of all ages with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use and grief and loss. I am a strength-based, trauma informed care therapist proficient in several evidenced based modalities including psychoeducation, Person Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as DBT mindfulness and grounding techniques. We will work together to find what works best for you to keep you moving forward in your wellness journey. There is always hope.

Destiny Rust, LMSW

You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, or simply yearning for a greater sense of purpose and clarity, I’m here to walk alongside you on a path toward healing and meaningful change. Therapy is not just about addressing what’s wrong—it’s about discovering what’s possible. Together, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that honors your story and helps you build the tools to move forward with confidence. My goal is to support you in developing greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a deeper connection to yourself and others. I believe in your capacity for growth, even when things feel overwhelming or stuck. My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based methods. I blend the expressive power of Art Therapy, the neurological depth of EMDR, and the reflective support of talk therapy to meet you where you are—no artistic skills required. These methods offer a flexible, creative, and effective way to access emotions, process difficult experiences, and uncover inner strengths that may have been buried under stress or pain. In our work together, you’ll find a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as your full self. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that feels collaborative and empowering, where healing isn’t rushed, but gently guided—always at a pace that feels right for you. No matter what brings you to therapy, you’re welcome here. You deserve to feel seen, supported, and understood. Let’s begin the journey together.

Kayla Napierala, LCSW
Emotions come in all sizes. Sometimes it is hard to even name the emotions we are feeling. Whatever it is that brings you here today, I want to normalize how you are feeling. It is my goal to help you name and process those emotions, together in a therapeutic way. I strive to create a safe, non judgemental space to heal and grow into the 'you' you want to be. I understand that reaching out can be frightening, and making the decision to enter therapy shows a lot of strength. I would like to help make this transition as smooth as possible. It is my goal to help you reach your goals at your own pace by providing support, validation, guidance and a listening ear. If and when you are ready, I am here to help.

Laurie Johnston, LMSW
Come, tell me everything and I will listen with an open heart. Sometimes our inner voice is not loving, and life is too short to have our inner voice not be our best friend. You deserve to have a beautiful life so together let’s figure out what’s holding you back. A favorite quote of mine by Heraclitus is: “No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it is not the same river and he is not the same man.” An ancient phrase of wisdom that speaks incredible truth. It is my intention to affect those living and coping with often self-imposed restrictions or images of themselves. I will redirect, refocus and reframe negative feelings and internal dialogue that hold you back from uplifting mental health and helpful contributions to society. Our world is in a state of constant change and although ‘change is the only constant’, change is one of the hardest things to cope with. As a Counselor, my focus is to address those unconscious assumptions that hold you back from living fully so that you can live completely in the moments that go so quick. I have over 25 years of experience with individuals, couples, families, and college students. I hope to companion you on your journey as you discover awareness, clarity, meaning and improved mental health. My practice is about YOU, what your concerns are, how you wish your life to be different. I will meet you where you are, and together, we will build a trusting, transformative working relationship. You will walk me through your past and together, we will walk into the future.

Making the decision to begin therapy can feel overwhelming or anxiety-provoking, and that’s completely understandable. My goal is to make this transition as easy and stress-free as possible for you. Reaching out for support shows significant resilience and strength. Often, we reach a point where we know something needs to change, but we’re unsure how to begin. Finding the right therapist can feel like another challenge—but it’s one that’s worth the effort, because you deserve the opportunity to thrive and reach your goals. I’ve had the privilege of working with clients from diverse backgrounds who have experienced depression, anxiety, mood instability, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. Throughout this process, my role is to offer guidance, support, and practical strategies to help you navigate your path toward growth and healing. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space where you can explore your experiences, gain insight, and move toward your full potential.

Nina Szarafin, LCSW
Therapy is a space just for you — a place to slow down, reflect, and begin to make sense of what feels heavy. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every person’s story is different, so the way we work together will be shaped around your unique needs, goals, and pace. Whether you’re healing from trauma, going through a big life change, or struggling with anxiety or depression, my role is to support and guide you through it. Together, we’ll focus on understanding your experiences, building new tools, and helping you reconnect with your sense of strength and balance. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, comfortable, and genuine; a place where you can show up exactly as you are and begin to grow into the version of yourself you want to be.

Jane Moeller, LMHC
I believe in the courage it takes to embark on the journey of therapy. My primary goal is to provide a safe and inclusive space for individuals seeking to make positive changes in their lives. I understand that personal growth is intertwined with an awareness of how past experiences shape our present functioning. Using trauma-informed and person-centered methods, I draw from various modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Together, we will identify your unique needs while fostering empowerment and resilience to navigate life's challenges. Regardless of your stage in life, I aim to establish a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship that will build upon your strengths.
