Sleep and Mental Health: Why Your Brain Cannot Heal Without Rest
Sleep is not lazy, wasted time, or something you “earn” after productivity. It is biological maintenance. During sleep, the brain processes stress, regulates emotions, consolidates memory, and helps the nervous system recover. Chronic sleep disruption can worsen anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, irritability, brain fog, and emotional overwhelm. Sometimes exhaustion is not weakness. It is a nervous system that never truly got to rest.
